AN ANIMAL lover who took in a neglected three-legged dog had her kindness repaid when rescue hound Louie saved her life.
Karen Ethier was diagnosed after Louie alerted her to a lump that turned out to be an aggressive form of breast cancer.
The 55-year-old received the shock diagnosis from her GP after her pet repeatedly nuzzled and headbutted her chest.
