The UAE health authorities on Tuesday said that they are willing to visit elderly at home to assess their medical condition and provide them with the vaccine.
This came during a media briefing on the coronavirus situation in the country by Dr Farida Al Hosni, spokesperson for the UAE health sector.
“It’s important to follow the mutations and the extent to which they affect the transmission and severity of the disease. The vaccine is considered as one of the most important solutions available to reduce the impact of the disease and the severity of its spread,” Hosni said.
Hosni said, “Our message today is to a group dear to our hearts that we prioritise their health and safety, they are the blessing and light in every house, our elders. We have prioritised the availability of vaccine to them as a priority.
“Help us protect you, we can visit you at home to assess your medical condition and provide you the vaccine.”
“This is to be expected, but it is important to continue efforts to identify any changes in the components or characteristics of the virus through health monitoring and follow-up systems.
