Elaine's Weight Loss Woes Due To Hormone Imbalance

Star tells of joy after receiving treatment for health condition

Elaine Crowley has revealed a hormone imbalance was preventing her from losing weight.

The 42-year-old only recently discovered she was suffering with polycystic ovary syndrome.

The Cork-born presenter, who has always been open about her battle with dieting, recently showed off her new slim figure.

Explaining how she got to the root of her health issues, she said: “I got my hormones fixed, that was it. It’s been a couple of years.

“My hormones had gone a bit wonky because I went into peri-menopause quite young and I had PCOS as well.

“I was piling on weight and I couldn’t understand why. I was always off on these boot camps and health retreats.

“So I got my hormone levels fixed and am on HRT and I’m feeling a million times better.”

Elaine admitted she’s been much happier in her own skin since turning 40 and finally getting to the bottom of her health issues.
