The 26-year-old moved to Ireland seven years ago and lived in Dublin before relocating to Killarney, Co Kerry, in 2019.

Ksenija, who speaks with her family back home on a daily basis, said: The first few days I was drowning in pain and tears, I was going from denial to being completely numb, to wanting to scream and feeling sorry for myself.

The e-commerce executive revealed how she shared information with her family and friends from a blogger who has survived conflicts in Syria, Pakistan and Libya.
