The family of missing Amy Fitzpatrick have appealed for a middle-aged Irishman seen in her company just before she vanished to come forward.
The 15-year-old was spotted with the man, described as a fluent Irish speaker who wore a trilby, in a sports bar on the Costa del Sol in Spain.
The owner of the pub at the time, an Englishwoman, got in touch with Amy’s family last week to tell them what she saw.
Her memory had been jolted by recent media coverage of the case.
She contacted Amy’s aunt Christine Kenny, who is leading the campaign to find her, by email.
The new information will be passed onto the police.
It is understood Amy came into the bar where her late brother Dean was playing pool. The man, who was wearing a hat and spoke fluent Irish, was sitting at the bar when the teenager approached him.
