Madigan: I'd Be Worried To See Mary Lou As Taoiseach

Josepha Madigan wants young people to do their homework on Sinn Fein’s past as she revealed it concerns her Mary Lou McDonald could become Taoiseach.

The Fine Gael TD, the Minister of State for Special Education and Inclusion, said it seems there is “collective amnesia” from parents whose children are voting.

The party recently saw its support rise to 30% – the highest ever level in a series of Business Post/Red C polls.

In the same analysis, support for Fine Gael had dropped but still stood at 33%.

Ms Madigan added: “I think Deputy McDonald and her party, there’s a lot of concern I would have there about their past in particular.

“And my real worry from the last General Election is seeing young people in their droves voting for Sinn Fein.
