This goal is based on the premise that the government will be able to ramp up its vaccination efforts and thereby contain the quick spread of COVID-19 driven by the deadly Delta variant.
As of August 4, the government has administered 21,883,781 coronavirus jabs nationwide, including 12,050,315 who received their first shots and 9,828,466 who got their second dose equivalent to 13.8 percent of the target total vaccination. The daily vaccination rate has also increased significantly to 529,911 as more supplies become available. These are based on data available at DOH website.
