Two stories went viral recently, and they were because of one lolo and one lola. Both of them are truly inspiring in their own personal quests, whether it is looking for a strong Internet signal up on the hills for his grandson or accomplishing a college degree at 70 years old. No matter what the hurdles were, they’ve set their sights on their targets, proving to the younger generation that strength and perseverance transcend all ages.
No signal? No problem!
We all know that strong Internet signals are harder to find when you’re in the province, more so when you’re out in the remote parts of the provinces. Six-year-old Arvin Jay Curangcurang was having trouble looking for a signal when his grandfather Martin and aunt Giecel took it into their own hands to find a better signal in their area.
The two guardians went around the vicinity of Alicia town in Bohol to look for stable Internet connection, and chanced upon a vast and unpopulated field for Arvin to study in. In Giecel’s Facebook post, she shared visual photos of how her father set up the place and how her son Arvin is now using it as a place for study, including an adorable photo of him praying.
