Paramilitary Tally Now 840 With 18 Recoveries

NEW DELHI: More than 840 cases have been reported from paramilitary since COVID-19 outbreak in India. According to forces, 18 personnel have recovered from deadly virus whereas six of their men have died.

According to the latest data, 60 fresh cases were reported from paramilitary forces including 41 from CISF, BSF-13 cases and six from CRPF.

CISF on Wednesday said that in last 24 hours 37 COVID19 cases were reported from their unit at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited (GRSEL) in Kolkata. Earlier one CISF personnel of the same unit had died.

Earlier few men were tested positive, as precautions we conducted medical tests of all our men and later they were tested positive. We can't say what was the exact source of infection, an official said. Meanwhile, four personnel deployed in Delhi Metro were also tested positive. CISF PRO Hemender Singh said that they are taking proper precautions for their personnel.
