THERE are now only three areas of Plymouth where less than one per cent of the population tested positive for Covid-19 in a seven day period
Between December 26 and January 1, only Millbay & Stonehouse, Peverell and Keyham have infection rates below the 1000/100,000 mark - with Keyham being the lowest at 971/100,000.
Plymstock Goosewell & Staddiscombe has the highest infection rate in the city, at 1849/100,000, followed by North Prospect at 1805/100,000.
Across Plymouth, infection rates are currently at 1,308/100,000, the highest they have ever been, and up 55% in a week.
Those figures only take into account specimens in the week up to January 1, but specimens from Jan 2, 3 and 4 are significantly above their equivalent from seven days prior, so rates are set to rise in the upcoming days even further.
