Posing as insurance firm staff, two men gag woman and make away with ₹4 lakh
Two men posing as agents of an insurance company barged into a house in Tiruvanmiyur on Saturday evening, tied up a 49-year-old housewife and robbed 4 lakh that the family had saved for their son's wedding.
Govindammal, 49, along with her husband Jayapal and son Sakthivel, resides at Marundheeswarar Nagar in Thiruvanmiyur. Their daughter is married.
Sakithivel is a car driver. A few months ago, his car was stolen and a complaint was lodged with the police.
