On its first day, 2.0, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, garnered a revenue of 180 crore across India.
This is the second highest for an Indian film after Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), which made over 150 crore.
But at home in Chennai, the movie managed to collect only 2.42 crore. Overall, in Tamil Nadu, the movie collected ns crore.
The Vijay starred Sarkar — which released during the first week of November 2018 — broke records by grossing over 30 crore on day one in Tamil Nadu.
