New Delhi: Every second adult in Delhi is now fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and nearly nine of 10 eligible beneficiaries have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Till 8pm on Friday, 42,345 vaccine doses, including 29,593 second shots, were administered in Delhi.
The total number of doses administered now stands at 2,06,35,836 and the number of fully vaccinated people has reached 75,24,737, according to the CoWin dashboard. The approximate number of eligible beneficiaries is 1.5 crore, 50.2% of whom have received both doses. Also, with 1,31,11,099 first doses being administered till date, 87.4% of the eligible population has now received at least one dose of the vaccine.
Interestingly, while the northwest district, which is the most populous among the 11 revenue districts, has administered more than 24.5 lakh cumulative doses, it’s behind southwest (23.8 lakh) when it comes to fully vaccinated beneficiaries. The northwest district has administered nearly 16 lakh first doses and southwest around 15 lakh.
