New Delhi: For 31-year-old Harjot Singh, who was shot at while trying to flee war-torn Ukraine, it was an emotional moment when he returned home in south Delhi’s Chhattarpur on Monday evening after getting discharged from the Army hospital.
“After getting hit by the bullets, I had lost all hope. I thought that I wouldn't survive. While returning home, I was feeling emotional and extremely happy to see the lane where I played during my childhood days,” Singh told TOI.
Singh further said that his family members, who were his pillars of strength during the tough days, burst into tears when he reached home.
