“A CFR (case fatality rate) of 0.07% is the lowest we have seen till now in the pandemic. It plainly bears out that out of over 9 lakh infections in the state, 661 people have died, and even among them, deaths have been mainly among the aged people with one or more underlying health problems,” the official said, adding that the CFR (the ratio of deaths among persons testing positive) was manifold higher in the second wave.
