New Delhi: An initial probe has revealed there were common directors on the board of the firm that exported CNG cylinders to Pakistan, the Associate High-Pressure Technology Pvt Ltd, and Touchwood Real Estate Pvt Ltd, which purchased land in Bandra Kurla valued at Rs 200 crore.
Besides Nawab Malik’s son Faraz, others on the board of Touchwood Real Estate Pvt Ltd include Farouk and Zakaria Darvesh, Manohar and Srichand Agicha and Suhail Khandwani. All, except Faraz, are also on the board of Associate High-Pressure Technology. The Kandla firm is also being probed by the CBI for a banking fraud of Rs 150 crore, the total outstanding on a Bank of India loan classified as NPA in 2016 when the company stopped repayment. A probe by both CBI and ED has revealed laundering of loan proceeds from the Kandla firm to the one which bought real estate assets in the BKC business district, sources said.
