Returning to work is a big task ahead of every breastfeeding mum. While you may be happy to go back to your independent, professional self, your baby, who had been under your continual supervision, would have to be turned over to someone you could trust. However, just because you have to leave your kid for part of the day, doesn’t mean she needs to be bottle-fed all the time. Here are a few recommendations to help you adjust smoothly.
PLAN EVERYTHING AHEAD
Begin at least a month before you intend to return to work. Determine who will be responsible for the baby’s care. A family member, paid for help, or day care, are all feasible options. It would be excellent to begin allowing this caregiver to care for the infant while you are present. This will allow you to observe and train them as you see fit. If you want to hire help, you might want to consider installing nanny cams to keep an eye on things from afar. Day cares are an excellent option for those of us who wish to keep our babies close to us. Choose one that is hygienically kept and where the babies are cared for by trained personnel. Most centres will also provide CCTV access.
