Sleep talking with your bay can be a great parenting tool. Here’s how to do it..

Hush little baby!

What is the process of a sleep talk consultation?

The consultation is taken up with the parents in three phases.

Phase 1 is where the consultant meets the parent to discuss the confidential case history of their li’l ones, get the parent to understand the way the process works, share the foundational statements and the accurate manner in which it needs to be implemented.

Phase 2 is the feedback session and the time to introduce the bridging statements leading into Phase 3.

Phase 3 is where specific statements are developed and introduced along with the foundational statements keeping in mind the ‘primary area of need’ which is arrived at after a detailed assessment document is run through by the consultant and the parent together.

If you’re mum to a toddler, chances are that she often has bedtime meltdowns, and despite trying every trick in the book, these don’t seem to stop anytime soon. It’s now time to think outside the box! Sleep talking is a technique that is simple and effective, if used regularly, to help change your baby’s discomfort and behaviour. It is almost like hypnosis. Through this technique, you’ll be able to sleep talk her back to sleep by engaging with her subconscious, by whispering positive words to her that she can relate to. Sleep talking is also used to uplift a child’s self confidence and foster a sense of independence early on. Shagufta Patel delves deep into the process.
