With COVID-19 taking over our lives, and leaving us under house arrest, you’ll find yourself hooked to social media and other platforms trying pass away your time. While it is easy to fall into a social media spiral, even more so when we’re housebound, it is important to filter out what you put out there, especially when it comes to your li’l ones.

Technology has made everything so accessible, it so darn easy to go ahead and share information on public social networking platforms. Well there’s nothing wrong with that now, is there? Even when documenting your little one’s milestones, reproducing their portraits, gushing about their every little utterance—is part of the process of parenthood. And in a role where most of your functions are reduced to the rather monotonuous cycle of feeding, cleaning, bathing, dressing, putting to bed and getting out of bed...these few joys can be a godsend and make you feel a little more human.

Social bonds are important and being able to hear from others that your bundle of joy appears adorable to more than just the ones who produced him, is validating in so many ways. Add to that the fact that when close relatives sometimes are geographically located at a distance, suddenly social media is a wonderful tool to let grandparents, aunts and uncles watch their little angel blossom before their eyes, and let them know how you’re doing through a quick virtual catch-up.
