Most of the times, the photographer has no idea with what they are photographing. Looking for subject with a fascinating face to photograph is not such a tough job. It can be any Camera! It doesn’t matter whether you have a smartphone or a basic camera. Lots of photographers think that people are frightened by the big camera and lens, but it’s not what actually happens here. If you’ve a big camera and lens, people will assume you’re a photographer. That will make it easier approaching strangers.

Lens

Which lens is right for street portraits? As described above (it doesn’t matter whether you have a basic camera or the smart phone), but when it comes to lens choice, it does matter. Unsuitable lens can affect the perspective and the feel of the photograph. Always remember, wider lenses are good for street portraits that include the surroundings and element in the shot.
