Look, body and feel
The lens seems totally at home in terms of look, body, and feel, and you can definitely detect the familiarity throughout the whole Tamron line today. We've been using Tamron lenses for a long time, and this simply seems right. The design element, together with the zoom ring up front and the focus ring on the rear, is comparable to that of its other lenses. The zoom ring is rather rigid, and it would have been preferable if it were slightly loosened. However, it gives a considerably more solid impression as a result of this.
The lens has a 67mm diameter and no controls on the outside other than the lens lock button to prevent accidental release. The lens also features metal mounting and is weather sealed. The overall build quality is good, and the lens is small and light, weighing around 600 grams.

Image quality
In terms of image quality, we shoot photographs at various focal lengths, and the images are crisp and perform well. Although the photos were slightly de-saturated when compared to other Tamron lenses we have tested. However, the lens has the advantage of allowing you to see fine details even when zoomed in, though there is minor softness as you approach towards the edges. Even at varying focal lengths, the lens maintained clarity, which was pleasing to see.
Even in low-light situations, the lens captures fine details. In reality, we thoroughly tested the lens with several photographs taken in extremely low light, and while it did somewhat search for focus in certain circumstances, the outcome was satisfactory. In terms of autofocus tracking, it is also quite fast, and we had no problems with it in most circumstances.
