Like shooting ideological fish in a barrel
Burgers are made with freedom and the prom punch is spiked with patriotism – this isn’t the American dream you’re used to hearing about. But then, when you’re strapped inside a brass bullet with an adorable Alsatian who sounds like Gregory Peck narrating your life’s story while you trim the garden hedges with a machine gun, anything is possible.
Midway through my time with The American Dream I take off the PS VR headset, wipe the sweat from my brow, and jot down some thoughts: ‘Open a beer can with a gunshot’, ‘wash cars with a Thompson submachine gun’, ‘feed my girlfriend candy floss at the end of a rifle barrel’… yeah, this game’s weird.
