ADVERSITIES ARE TEMPORARY ROADBLOCKS
MOVE FORWARD

“A heart which has no cravings, no aversions, but embraces them as they are is the large heart. Stop blaming yourself, stop pitying yourself, stop complaining, this is the nature of a tiny heart. Unless you let go of this, you will not be able to touch the big Self.”

It was in turbulent times that the Bhagavad Gita came up. Thousands of years later, we are still benefiting from the supreme wisdom it contains! It was in the war field that Krishna started teaching Arjuna. He didn’t teach him when everything was all right; nor was Arjuna ready to listen, for he thought Krishna was just his friend.

But when turbulent times came, knowledge and wisdom became essential, for that’s when it becomes necessary to have calmness, steadiness, and the clarity of mind to perceive things the way they are and to act wisely. When the emotions are calm, you are able to think better because the same energy in us either functions as an emotion or as a thought process.

We’ve all heard of Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ), but there are two more – Social Quotient (SQ) and Adverse Quotient (AQ). Being socially aware is very important to build a caring and compassionate society. And being able to handle adverse situations is vital for living. People should be taught to handle failures and look at them as a temporary roadblock rather than a dead-end without any recourse.
