It’s not often that a completely new camo pattern hits the market, but that’s exactly what has happened recently with the launch of Prym1.
Prym1 Woodlands has been developed as a concealment solution, designed for the active hunter in wooded terrain. I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on a complete set and I have been wearing it throughout the summer months during my many hunting expeditions.
The pattern is a non-directional hybrid camouflage, designed specifically using organic shapes, rather than the usual sticks and leaves, to help achieve natural concealment.
It has been produced with deer stalking in mind, allowing you to get closer to your intended quarry so you can take a closer more ethical shot. As far as airgunners are concerned, it’s the perfect pattern for woodland stalking and also for digging in on a field full of rabbits.
HOW IT WORKS
Light naturally diffuses and fragments in a woodland setting, through the overhead canopy of leaves and branches onto the undergrowth beneath. This can be seen as dappled sun, full sun or complete shade, resulting in areas of high and low contrast. Prym1 Camo utilizes this core concept to mimic the fragmentation of you, the hunter, by producing a pattern made up of varying shapes to help fool the eye.
It was actually designed by Stacie Walker, a professional wildlife artist and lifelong passionate hunter who studies the patterns and textures of animals and mimics them through her art.
