THE new year has seen the Celtic Women’s team move to a professional status, and the focus is on delivering success to the club in 2020.
Fran Alonso has been appointed Head Coach, while a number of the current squad have signed professional contracts.
There have also been some new faces arriving at Paradise, with two top American players joining the Hoops. And during the team’s recent warm-weather training camp in Gran Canaria, the View caught up with the two new Celts.
Sarah Teegarden has played her football professionally in the United States, in Sweden with Kopparbergs Goteborg FC and most recently in France with Lille
And the 24-year-old midfielder believes new manager Fran Alonso will bring a new level of professionalism to the club, explaining that she can’t wait to see where the new season takes the Celtic team...

The overriding feeling is definitely excitement for me, just being able to play, playing with this group of girls and to play for this club. It’s also really exciting to be part of the club going professional on the women’s side, so it’s really big and exciting for all of us.
