The English side has been on a roll in the red-ball format ever since Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum took charge as their captain and coach, respectively. They now face an uphill task of getting the better of Team India in an away series, and truth be told, upsetting India in their backyard is a challenge not many have overcome. Ironically, though, the last time India had lost a test series at home was back in 2012 against England. The upcoming series is going to play a vital role in determining the fate of these two teams in the ongoing World Test Championship cycle, 2023-25
