Mixed feelings for sheeds.
It has been a challenging campaign for Kevin Sheedy and his Under-18s this season.
The young Blues played out their final fixture at USM Finch Farm on Tuesday, suffering a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Sheedy had eight players eligible for the Under-16s, with two Under-15s also involved in the game, a clear indication about what has held the Under-18s back over the last nine months.
“When you look at the start of the season, we had five players out injured who would have been in the team,” explained Sheedy. “So we didn’t get off to the best of starts but once they returned we went on 14 games unbeaten. That showed that when had our better players available, we were able to put in good performances and get results.
