Morgan, what characteristics do you believe Everton need to show to secure a positive result against Tottenham Hotspur today?
We have to give everything, work hard and play with freedom.
We need to mix the aggression with positivity, but also be calm in the right moments.
As players, we are the ones on the pitch and the ones who make the decisions – whether to make a short pass or a long pass. It’s about showing our quality, being positive and doing the right things in the right moments.
Do you believe a victory at Goodison Park today can kickstart a strong run of form?
It has been a frustrating start to the season, there is no doubt about that. But we are confident we are going to get better the more the Premier League advances.
We are hungry to put together a run of wins.
We have been working very hard in training with the manager. His sessions are very good. He is focussed and is very detailed.
When you look at the table, it is very close between all the teams. So, if we can win the next two matches, we can be in a very different position. Then we can build from there.
Everton’s performance in the last Premier League home game against West Ham United was excellent. You, unfortunately, missed that match through injury, but did that display show what this team is capable of?
Football is a lot about confidence. We started the game on the front foot and did not stop. Scoring first made everyone play with more confidence and we have so many quality players.
Even though I didn’t play in that game, I was so happy for the team. The players did very well. Everyone is together here.
