Normally you have to travel considerable distances to play three Top 100 courses in the UK & Ireland. Woburn Golf Club lets you knock three off the list in one easy trip...
Golf aficionados won’t be surprised to find Woburn’s three championship layouts – the Duke’s, Duchess’ and Marquess’ courses – among the UK & Ireland’s Top 100. Golfers, professional and amateur, have been beating a path to Woburn since it opened in 1976. Traffic has increased over the years as Woburn’s facilities have improved. It isn’t a long journey: Woburn is less than five miles from the M1 motorway.
Visiting golfers find it hard to believe Woburn’s oldest course, the Duke’s, only opened in 1976, that the Duchess’ is just a few years younger, or that the Marquess’ only opened for play in 2000. Such is the mature setting among beech, pine, silver birch and other varieties of trees that the three layouts feel much older.
