The Merrell Ontario 85 is an all-day, all-terrain shoe built around a retro-inspired design.
You don’t always have to be racing on the trails. On days where the mood for hiking takes over, you’ll want a pair of dependable and comfortable footwear on your feet. Merrell’s new Ontario 85 is full of 1980s nostalgia, but packed with modern tech and materials for a top-level off-road shoe that lets you go wherever you want, with all-day support, comfort and breathability.
The retro-inspired styling features metal hooks and D-rings along the lacing path, ensuring that the shoelaces don’t get stuck on high friction spots. This reduces wear-and-tear while allowing the shoe to conform to your foot shape easily. The bellows fitted to the tongue not only keeps debris out but also ensures that it does not slide annoyingly to the side as you pile on the mileage.
Designed for complete off-road versatility, it's comfortable from the very first step, and much lighter and more flexible than its heavy-duty look seems to suggest.
Breathable Mesh Lining
For unequalled comfort in all environments, the Merrell Ontario 85 features an E-mesh lining. Made up on uniform, repeated stitches, it is strategically knit and layered in patterns to provide zones of flexibility, breathability, and durability precisely where they’re needed in the shoe.
