WINKSY’S CENTURY
Harry Winks has become our latest Academy graduate to make 100 appearances for the Club in the Premier League.
The midfielder racked up the century with his latest start in the 1-1 draw against Wolves at Molineux on Sunday evening.
Born in Hemel Hempstead, ‘Winksy’ trained with us as a youngster and joined the Academy in July 2012, signing professional forms in 2014. He’s since made 157 appearances in all competitions, started in the Champions League Final, and has been capped 10 times by England.
He made his Premier League debut for us off the bench against Liverpool in August 2016 before a memorable first start when he scored in a dramatic 3-2 win against West Ham at the Lane in November 2016.
Legendary former captain Ledley King, currently part of Jose Mourinho’s first team staff, tops the list of appearances from Academy graduates in the Premier League with 268 between 1999-2012.
