SPURS 1-0 SUNDERLAND
Stevenage continues to be a happy hunting ground for Kazaiah Sterling after the young striker secured an important home victory over Sunderland in the Premier League 2 last Monday night.
The 18-year-old has scored five goals in two FA Youth Cup games at the Lamex Stadium already this season and he wasted no time in carrying that form on into the Premier League 2, scoring the only goal of the game on his first appearance of the season for Ugo Ehiogu’s side.
Sterling, who has played and scored at this level in the past, was joined in the starting line-up by fellow Under-18s regulars Japhet Tanganga and Nick Tsaroulla – both deservedly getting their opportunities after positive seasons so far. It was centre-half Tanganga’s first league start for Ehiogu’s team and left-back Tsaroulla’s debut. Younger still, Under-16s midfielder Oliver Skipp, who has shone for the Under-18s this term, was introduced off the bench late on.

OBITUARY – JOHNNIE HILLS
We were saddened to hear of the passing of John ‘Johnnie’ Hills, a defender who spent 11 years at the Club as an amateur and professional between 1950-61. He passed away at home in Brussels, Belgium, on Friday, 26 November, aged 87.
