In recent years, Apple has transformed the health and wellness landscape with its Apple Watch. Once considered a gimmick and something exclusively for fitness fanatics, the wearable is now one of the company’s biggest product categories, and it’s directly saved dozens of lives around the world. As Apple continues to introduce new technologies into the smartwatch, like blood oxygen level monitoring, Apple Watch is now an indispensable part of many people’s lives, with governments and health bodies actively integrating their services into the Apple Health app to utilize the data collected. iOS 15 introduces the ability to share health data with family and care networks to monitor trends like heart rate and cholesterol, and as future Apple Watches add even more important technology, like the reported blood glucose monitoring that could come in 2022, Apple’s tech is lightyears ahead of its rivals. Some of the biggest players in aerospace are taking notice.
