INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER Karim Rashid is a man of many talents. Aside from being an industrial designer, he is also an architect, a lecturer, a fashion designer, and even a DJ.

One of the most prolific designers of his generation—with over 4,000 designs in production and over 300 awards to his name—Karim is best known for his unconventional style where the color pink plays an important role.

Born in Egypt, raised in Canada, and a citizen of the United States, Rashid now leads busy offices in New York and China and has his own personal brand called Kreate by Karim.

MyFriend

Designed by Karim for French brand Akkoya, MyFriend combines the worlds of music and light with design. This roto-molded outdoor speaker and lamp connects to your smartphone, laptop, or tablet via Bluetooth 5 and allows you to enjoy your music wirelessly and in style. With remote control, you can adjust the volume, music, or color from wherever you are in the room.

Nexus

The Mason jar may be the hipster vessel of choice, but Karim Rashid’s version takes it to a new level of cool.

Enjoy a refreshing drink in the Nexus, a mason jar made of AB/ABS plastic and features a screw-on lid and a stop mechanism for better sealing. It comes with an ergonomically designed handle and a straw that can be folded down so that not a drop spills out. Engraved at the bottom of the jar is the Kreate by Karim logo.
