15 Rooftop Bars Across The World

1 Room 09 at Tinto Boutique Hotel, Santiago, Chile

Head to Santiago’s bohemian Bellavista area to find this clandestine rooftop speakeasy. Although it’s members-only, you can access it for nightcaps as a non-member when dining at the eclectic Restaurant 040 at the ground level. After passing through a secret entrance and ascending a bona fide prohibition-era elevator, you’ll see why the industrial-chic space and drinks menu are all the rage in Chile right now. 2 Moon Bar at Banyan Tree Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is home to some of the world’s best sky bars, but none carry the awe factor quite like this one on the 61st floor of the Banyan Tree Bangkok. Having a drink at Moon Bar means 360-degree views of Bangkok’s dazzling cityscape, made all the more dizzying after multiple rounds of Dragon Ball, a mix of Cinnamon Chalong Bay (a sugar cane and cinnamon-based rum), whiskey, passion fruit wine, passion fruit soda and a drop of bitters. 3 L’Oiseau Blanc at The Peninsula Paris, France

Gaze at the Eiffel Tower and Paris’ famous rooftops from this vintage, aviation-themed indoor restaurant and outdoor lounge at the top of The Peninsula Paris. The interiors (which include an actual aircraft) and the cocktails (like the Aviation and the Take Off) pay homage to French pilots Charles Nungesser and François Coli—they attempted the first transatlantic flight between Paris and New York City on a plane named L’Oiseau Blanc. Make a full meal out of the experience with the three-course, pre-fix menu (€115 or 9,000), which showcases the prowess of award-winning Executive Chef Christophe Raoux. (peninsula.com)
