Goa has long since been the refuge of many a weary soul searching for greener pastures and sunnier skies. Over the years, Goa’s fame has burgeoned from being India’s most popular weekend getaway to most wanted permanent address. Slow living and a more conscious, sustainable lifestyle is the need of the hour, and the sunshine state seems to have just what the heart wants.
“After what we have experienced all of last year, we have begun to value the importance of space and nature far more than we ever did before,” says Ahsan Ansari, architect of a trio of luxury villas in Assagao, Goa. The villas are the passion project of Megha and Krishna Patel, a Mumbai-based couple who started the realty brand, Inaya Living. A blend of contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship, the homes have been built with sustainability at its core. “The villas represent a conscious return to nature,” says interior designer, Pavitra Rajaram.
