At Home With Blac Chyna
Cosmopolitan - South Africa|April 2017

Ready to forget everything you ever thought you knew about Blac Chyna? The powerhouse lets loose on Rob, being part of the most famous family on the planet, and her secret to getting to the top.

At Home With Blac Chyna

Blac Chyna is late. Three hours late, to be precise. As our crew checks lighting, glances at watches and picks at the catering, there’s an unspoken fear floating around: is she even going to show?

Then her car rolls up. Chyna steps out, greets every single team member and gets straight to work. She’s professional, excited and BFF-level friendly. This wasn’t what we were expecting. Did we imagine the whole three-hours-late thing? Regardless, she’s forgiven, because we immediately want to be part of her inner circle. As we are about to find out, Chyna has a super-human ability to turn any preconceived impressions you may have of her on their head.

Blac Chyna (real name Angela Renée White) has had one hell of a year. First there was the surprise relationship with reality-TV royalty Rob Kardashian, followed quickly by an engagement and a pregnancy announcement. While the gossip mags went into overdrive, searching for a seedy back story to the relationship, Chyna says she was just as surprised as the rest of us at how the relationship unfolded. For the uninitiated, Chyna and Rob’s sis Kim Kardashian West had been particularly close, back in the day. They drifted apart because #life; a couple of years later, Chyna found herself falling for Kimmy’s little bro. ‘It was a shock, actually,’ she says. ‘I guess when you get to know somebody and you’re around them, you see things in them – and you want to be more than just friends. I think that’s what ended up happening.’
