She’s been looking for true love for a long time. Now it appears Pamela Anderson has found it with a handyman from her Canadian hometown.
The former Baywatch star married her fourth husband, Dan Hayhurst, on Christmas Eve at her home in Ladysmith, Vancouver Island. The couple met when Dan, 40, was hired to work on the renovation of the house, which Pam, 53, bought from her grandparents 25 years ago and where she has been living since 2019.
The wedding was held outside and the bride wore gumboots under her ivory silk dress with a blue tulle overlay skirt.
“A few people driving by could see the fairytale gown with the long Princess Diana veil dragging in the mud. Heaven...” Pamela enthuses.
She feels getting married at the Ladysmith home, where “the trees have known me my whole life”, is a good omen. “This is where my parents were married and they are still together. I feel like I have come full circle.”
Pamela, who left Ladysmith in 1989 to further her modelling career in Los Angeles, adds, “I am exactly where I need to be – in the arms of a man who truly loves me.”
The couple became close during lockdown last year, says Pamela, who now describes Dan as her bodyguard. “This one year together has felt like seven – like dog years.”
It was an intimate wedding with no guests or bridal party, thanks to the pandemic, but Pamela says they had the blessing of both families. “Everyone we know is happy for us.”
