Inside Mamma Mia’s smashing sequel

Here We Go Again!

It’s one of the most talked about movies of the year – no, make that the decade. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is both a prequel and a sequel to the hit 2008 film, which not only reunited the original cast but introduced a few new stars, including the legendary Cher.

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the goingson behind the scenes.

Breaking up is never easy, I know

Getting the original cast back together again could have led to some awkward moments between Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper, who play sweethearts Sophie and Sky. The pair fell in love while filming the first movie and dated for two years before splitting up.

Amanda, who is now married to actor Thomas Sadoski (42) and was breastfeeding their baby daughter (whose name she has not released) while filming Mamma Mia 2, says her husband had some issues about her working with Dominic (40) again.

“I think he has the same kind of issues that I would have if we were hanging out with his ex-girlfriend from long ago,” says Amanda (32).

“I’d guess he assumed Dominic is in love with me in the way he’s in love with me, and it’s just not the case. It’s sweet. I’d rather he be jealous than completely fine with it.”

Dominic, meanwhile, says working with his ex-wasn’t a problem. “She’s a friend. It was always going to be okay. You just have to be delicate with those situations. She’s married now and has a beautiful child.”
