As a Hollywood A-lister, Julia Roberts is used to her life being in a constant state of flux. But the Pretty Woman star is currently preparing for one of the biggest changes her family has seen in years.
This-coming August her eldest children – twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 17 – are flying the coop to begin university.
“It makes me a little lightheaded,” Julia admits. “I’m completely excited for them. I wasn’t lucky enough to have a college experience, so to see how it’s happening for them is really fascinating.”
It’s just the next phase in a period of upheaval for Julia, 54, and her cinematographer husband Danny Moder, 53.
After raising their family, which also includes youngest son Henry, 15, in their private Malibu compound for the best part of two decades, the Roberts-Moder clan upped sticks during the Covid pandemic and moved to Northern California.
“We always felt that we were kind of living outside of LA,” explains Julia of her life in the beach-side community of Malibu, a 40-minute drive from the city.
But, she confesses, “Moving with three teenagers during a pandemic is not for the faint of heart! We’ve pulled it off, though, and everyone seems good and happy.”
