WHY YOU NEED TO DRIVE A FEW POINTS HOME WITH A LEARNER
It’s a milestone moment, learning to drive. And if you are the one teaching your teenager this all-important skill, it can be a pretty big event for you too. Here are some hints that may make driving lessons easier for both of you:
Wait until they are ready
Don’t pressure your child into learning to drive because you think it would be handy if they could get themselves to sports games or their friends’ houses. They need to be ready to get behind the wheel – an anxious learner driver is not good on the roads.
Similarly, if you have a child who wants to learn to drive, yet you don’t think they are mature enough, you need to hold fire on lessons. Safety should be paramount.
Talk them through the basics before you start
