Emmerdale star Zoe Henry gives Woman the lowdown on what it’s like to be married to one of soap’s sexiest men, Cain Dingle...
‘This year it will be 23 years since Jeff and I got together.
When I say that out loud, it does two things – it shocks me and then it makes me want to vomit that I am actually old enough for that to be possible! We met at drama school, in October 1994, and we were babies – I was 21 and Jeff was 24. It’s just gone so quickly and, especially since we’ve had kids, it feels like somebody’s pressed fast forward.’
‘What’s it like being married to one of soap’s sexiest males? Well, that’s just hilarious! I can’t even listen to that ridiculous statement! Clearly a lot of people find him very attractive, and that’s very nice. But at the end of the day he’s rubbish at loading the dishwasher and he doesn’t ever look in the laundry bin! He can rely on me to keep his ego in check. His mum did as well. He’s got no ego and he’s not bothered. We have an amazing job that we both adore, but we know it’s just a job and Jeff certainly doesn’t think of himself as a sex symbol. There was a scene recently where Rhona was playing truth or dare and she revealed that Cain would be her fantasy one night stand. Jeff loved it but he should be so lucky to get Rhona’s advances coming his way!’
‘We’re quite a dull couple and don’t go out much.
