Peter Andre isn’t just about abs and singing Mysterious Girl – he’s now also taken a step into the realm of acting and has even landed a part in a Hollywood movie! So it’s no wonder that when we catch up with the star, 44, he’s feeling on top of the world. Married to doctor Emily MacDonagh, 27, and a dad-of -four, Pete tells Woman’s Own all…
Hi, Pete! We’ve heard you’re heading to Hollywood – this is amazing news!
I know, I’m so happy. That is the final dream, isn’t it? I’ve done everything I wanted to do except for movies.
What can you tell us about the film?
This is a psychological thriller slash horror film. It’s called The Undoing but that is a working title. I read the script and went, ‘Oh my God, it’s a big part!’ I thought I was just going to be an extra! We won’t start filming until next year, though.
Has acting always been the dream?
It’s always been a dream for later on in life. Once I get my foot in the door, I’m not stopping. I’m going to go for it. I’ve just shoved it into top priority.
Have you done any acting before?
That’s what I did when I was at school. I failed in music, which explains some of the songs I’ve released! The music was what took off but it was drama that I did well in. So many great actors from Australia have come from Neighbours and Home & Away and I kind of regretted that I never tried to do any of those shows because actually that opened them all up to Hollywood.
If it takes off, would you ever consider moving out to LA?

'THAT'S NOT MY BABY'
Lying in the hospital bed, my husband Michael had tears of happiness in his eyes as he showed me a photo on his phone. 'Here she is,' he said proudly. 'This is our beautiful baby girl.'I stared at the photo and shook my head. 'No, that's not my baby,' I said. 'There must be a mistake.'It was August 2010 and I'd not long before had an emergency caesarean. I'd not had a chance to see Winnie when she arrived as she'd been whisked away for tests because she was nearly two months premature.
