Singer Jane McDonald’s career has gone from strength to strength over the years, but while the star’s success is undeniable, can the same be said about her love life? Having branded herself a ‘workaholic’ who’s ‘100% committed’ to what she does, Jane admits, ‘I don’t feel I’ve made any sacrifices, I’ve just made choices.’ But does her partner of 12 years, musician Eddie Rothe, feel the same way?
GOING PUBLIC
Since first hitting our screens on BBC documentary series The Cruise back in 1998, living her life in the public eye has always been part of Jane’s glistening career, and she regularly updates her social media with photos of her latest adventures – with Eddie often being a part of those posts. But Eddie, for some reason, hasn’t featured for over a year
Having first dated briefly when Jane was 17, the couple reunited six years after Jane’s divorce from her former manager Henrik Brixen – and got engaged that same year.
And the 56-year-old made no secret of declaring that her fairy-tale romance with Eddie is ‘destiny’, previously gushing, ‘This guy takes my breath away. My life has been a lot of being in the right place at the right time, so being back with Eddie has something of destiny about it. We both realise that we are lucky to have found each other again.’

'THAT'S NOT MY BABY'
Lying in the hospital bed, my husband Michael had tears of happiness in his eyes as he showed me a photo on his phone. 'Here she is,' he said proudly. 'This is our beautiful baby girl.'I stared at the photo and shook my head. 'No, that's not my baby,' I said. 'There must be a mistake.'It was August 2010 and I'd not long before had an emergency caesarean. I'd not had a chance to see Winnie when she arrived as she'd been whisked away for tests because she was nearly two months premature.
