It’s been more than 20 years since Ruth Langsford hit our television screens and, in that time, she has confidently and successfully juggled life in the spotlight as a much-loved daytime TV host with being a wife, mother and even a fashion designer. Having celebrated her 61st birthday this year, she is excited and positive about her accomplishments, she tells Women’s Weekly. ‘I think you should celebrate the milestones in life,’ she smiles.
One of those key triumphs is her longstanding relationship and co-presenting career with husband Eamonn Holmes. Not many people can say they live and work with their partner and still get on as brilliantly as Ruth and Eamonn, both on-screen and off. ‘Laughter plays a huge part [in our relationship],’ reveals Ruth. ‘Eamonn is a very funny man and we have a lot of banter, which is what I think people like about us on TV. I give as good as I get, and people can see that.’
