Breaking news... Sunrise star Edwina has welcomed her second bundle of joy – and he’s simply adorable!

When Edwina “Eddy” Bartholomew took to social media to announce she had given birth to a healthy baby boy last week, the Sunrise presenter hoped her exciting news would bring people across the country a little bit of joy.

“At such a difficult time for so many, many people, we hope Tom’s little face puts a smile on yours,” the breakfast television star, 38, shared on Instagram.

And Thomas Donald Elliott Varcoe, who was born on March 1, did exactly that.

With his adorably rosy cheeks and wrapped tightly in his hospital blanket, the gorgeous little one melted hearts Australia wide with his tiny fingers and toes on display.

Eddy’s husband, journalist Neil Varcoe, was clearly proud as punch, also taking to social media to share the happy news with family and friends.

“Introducing Thomas Donald Elliott Varcoe. We call him Tom,” the doting dad, 40, quipped, elated his son was finally here.

“He arrived during a 1 in the 100-year flood with flippers for feet. Donald was my father’s name. He’d be proud.”
