The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still smarting from the high-octane media storm they sparked over their private jet-setting ways. But after returning home from their luxury break in St Tropez recently, rumours are swirling that they received some happy news – they’re expecting a baby girl!

“They’re both ecstatic,” claims a source close to the super-secretive royals. “Meghan was in floods of tears when her doctor revealed the news.”

Ever since their wedding in May last year – hyper-aware of 38-year-old Meghan’s loudly ticking biological clock – the couple have been focused on their goal of starting a family of their own. And while baby Archie’s arrival on May 6 filled them with joy, they knew there was no time to waste in having baby number two.

“As it turns out, the wait is over,” according to our source. “An early blood test has revealed it’s a girl and given that Meghan and Harry have vowed to have just one more child, the news is a dream come true.

“Meghan had pinned all her hopes on having a daughter. She’s telling friends they are considering naming her Diana.”

A thrilled Meghan apparently sent her closest friends a message alongside a snap of Archie in a “big brother to be” onesie and was thrilled when her BFF, fashion stylist Jessica Mulroney, 39, revealed she’d been saving her daughter Isabel’s clothes for the past six years in the hope Meghan would have a little girl one day.
