Happier than ever, the singer is determined to make things official – with a sparkling ring

As Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck shared a passionate farewell kiss on the tarmac, onlookers could be forgiven for wondering if the loved-up pair were filming a scene from a rom-com.

All that was missing from the picture-perfect moment was Ben falling to his knees and presenting his girlfriend with a sparkling engagement ring.

And apparently Jennifer had the same thoughts, Woman’s Day learns. “Jennifer left him with a sly joke about her ‘barren’ ring finger,” an insider reveals. “She likes the commitment of marriage and doesn’t see any reason to wait.”

But thanks to the success of their respective careers – Ben, 49, has been on set filming crime thriller Hypnotic in Texas and LA, while Jennifer, 52, films Netflix action flick The Mother in Vancouver – the couple barely have any time to see each other, let alone plan a wedding.

Yet friends say Jennifer’s at the point where she’s done with excuses. “She’s wanted to have the security of marriage long before Ben walked back into her life and she’s starting to get impatient trying to pin down a date.”
