The actresses haven’t seen eye to eye in years and their simmering feud is set to boil over again

They might have a similar body of work, and indeed, similar looks, but there hasn’t been any love lost between Nicole Kidman and Meg Ryan since the early 2000s – and their decades-old feud looks to be reignited over a rogue movie script.

Sources tell Woman’s Day exclusively that there’s a biopic floating around Tinseltown about Meg, 59, who was one of the world’s biggest rom-com names in the 1990s before all but quitting acting after trying an edgier role in 2003’s In The Cut, which was a box-office flop and led her to be savaged by critics. Insiders say the biopic is “horrendous” to incredibly private Meg, not least because her old frenemy Nicole “has her people looking at the script”.

A Hollywood insider says, “Biopics are all the rage at the moment and moviemakers think Meg’s story of her rise, fall and relationships with Dennis Quaid, Russell Crowe and John Mellencamp is worth telling.
