It’s her time to shine! Beautiful Pippa Middleton looks radiant as she arrives to marry James Matthews
She famously upstaged the bride at her sister’s royal wedding, but six years later, a stunning Pippa Middleton ensured nobody could steal her spotlight as she married billionaire James Matthews at her family’s local church.
All eyes were on the breathtaking bride from the moment she arrived at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire, in a 1951 Jaguar with her father Michael.
Crowned with a tiara, Pippa, 33, looked every inch the princess in a stunning Giles Deacon gown, which accentuated her impossibly tiny waist and toned biceps, a dramatic pearl-embroidered veil and ivory satin Manolo Blahniks. Her custom-made diamond drop earrings were the same ones she wore for her sister’s wedding at Westminster Abbey in 2011.
Fussing over Pippa’s gown, not even the Duchess of Cambridge, 35, in a soft-pink frock by her wedding dress designer Sarah Burton, could distract from the blushing bride. Nevertheless, locals who had turned out to witness the wedding of the year cooed as Kate escorted a gorgeously dressed gaggle of young bridesmaids and page boys into the church.
Among the eight junior members of the bridal party were Pippa’s beloved nephew and niece Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, two. Although Kate had publicly worried about how they would behave at the big event, the adorable tots looked calm and happy as they entered the chapel, with the smiling duchess putting a finger to her lips to remind her wee charges to be quiet.
Happy tears
As luck would have it, the heavens opened just moments after the party stepped inside the church for the emotional ceremony. A guest tells Woman’s Day that proud mum Kate “got extremely choked up” as she watched her children walk down the aisle.
